VW Polo GTI: SMALL WOLF WITH A BIG VOICE
Friends of the VW Polo GTI (2019) can rejoice: Sonoren Klang made in Germany brings the new bolt-on exhaust system from Eisenmann Exhaust Systems.
Hemmingen, May 20, 2020 – The emblem with the three red letters GTI, which adorns the radiator grille of the current VW Polo, stands for power and driving pleasure. The sporty little Wolfsburg is now getting the right sound for its 200 hp engine from Eisenmann Exhaust Systems. The new exhaust system, known as 'Bolt-On', gives the VW Polo GTI a sonorous, powerful voice. Bolt-on means that the standard plug connection in the form of a clamp is used for assembly from the Otto particle filter (OPF). It is therefore not necessary to disconnect the standard exhaust system: the new sports exhaust system can be installed via plug & play. The system is made of high-quality stainless steel and is registration-free thanks to the EC type approval. Eisenmann Exhaust Systems has 32 years of experience in the production of exhaust systems for sports drivers. The company manufactures at the Hemmingen site near Stuttgart. "Even during the Corona crisis, as a premium brand, we deliver quality made in Germany as usual. We are completely self-sufficient, so there are no delivery bottlenecks," explains Sarah Eisenmann, who is responsible for marketing and sales in the medium-sized family business. At Eisenmann Exhaust Systems, each new exhaust system as well as the respective original is measured. Compared to this, Eisenmann's manual work offers two-thirds less back pressure, significantly better flow and less heat build-up. "The new exhaust system for the VW Polo GTI has a pipe diameter of 70 millimeters throughout - that's five to ten millimeters more space for the flow, depending on where you measure on the production model," says Eisenmann. As is usual with Eisenmann Exhaust Systems, the twin tailpipes are interchangeable: there are various variants to choose from, which differ in design, surface treatment (finish) and pipe diameter. For example, there is a diameter of 83 millimeters in a double-walled chrome-plated version or a diameter of 90 millimeters in a rolled-up version with a sloping section.
