Sonorous sound and new design: Eisenmann Exhaust Systems developed a four-pipe exhaust system with different tailpipe variants for the compact Bavarian sports model M2 CS.
Hemmingen, April 23, 2021 - The BMW (F87) M2 CS with 450 hp is the more powerful brother of the M2 Competition. The two compact two-door models also differ beyond performance. But they have one option in common: the four-pipe exhaust system from Eisenmann Exhaust Systems, which reduces back pressure. It has been available for the M2 Competition since March 2019 - now also for the M2 CS.
The typical BMW sound of the six-cylinder engines is even better supported by the new system that complies with the applicable rules. The system is suitable for vehicles with and without gasoline particulate filters (OPF) and is one hundred percent perfect. The rear silencer is attached to the original points on the car. The existing flap control is also retained. What sounds on the outside stays calm on the inside: Thanks to the ribbed deep-drawn shell of the rear silencer developed by Eisenmann, there is no structure-borne noise. That means there are no vibrations in the passenger compartment.
The biggest change compared to the standard equipment, however, is not in the acoustic design, but in the visual design: "The rear silencers are perfectly integrated into the rear end - so they don't hang out from under the car," says Marketing Manager Sarah Eisenmann, explaining the main reason why her exhaust system is from M2 Drivers are ordered. She adds: "Our principle was: the rear silencers as small as possible, the tailpipes as large as possible, and that in manufacturer quality."
The tailpipes are available in two designs for the BMW M2 CS: The 'Signature' version identified by the letter 'e' is supplied with a straight section, the 'Le Mans' specification with a sloping section. Both tailpipe variants have a pipe diameter of 90 millimeters in common. The inner sheaths are made of chrome, for the outer sheaths there is a choice of three versions: brushed aluminum, black anodized aluminum or carbon.
