Eisenmann Exhaust Systems presents the summer collection for the BMW M550i and M850i: the special equipment features improved sound, more power and a new tailpipe design.
Hemmingen, September 13, 2020 - Eisenmann Exhaust Systems recently equipped two BMW brand models with new rear silencers: the BMW M550i (G30 / G31) and the M850i (G14 / G15 / G16).
In both vehicles, the Hemminger manufactory provided an exhaust system with less back pressure than planned by the factory. The rear silencers have a flap control with two flaps. The result is better flow, less heat build-up and more performance.
Also included: sonorous sound made in Germany. "We have a really great sound here, our customers are enthusiastic about the acoustic improvement compared to the series," reports Sarah Eisenmann, who is responsible for marketing and sales in the factory founded in 1988.
The four stainless steel tailpipes, each 90 millimeters in diameter, differ significantly from the original equipment: the M550i comes with geometric tailpipes, the M850i has trims integrated into the rear. The “Signature” version with a straight pipe section shows the letter “e” typical of Eisenmann on the chrome-plated inner jacket. The outer sheath consists of either brushed or black anodized aluminum. Alternatively, the materials are also available in the "LeMans" design with an inclined section.
The sports rear silencers for the BMW M550i and BMW M850i have an EC type approval and are therefore street legal.
