Europe-wide material bottlenecks as well as Corona working conditions lead to a significantly longer delivery time for sports exhaust systems from the traditional Hemmingen manufactory. Price increases are to be expected in the second half of the year.
Hemmingen, May 16, 2021 - "Good things take time" - the old adage currently also applies to products from Eisenmann Exhaust Systems. The manufacturer, which has been known for its sporty stainless steel exhaust systems for more than 30 years, reports that it will likely lead to significantly longer delivery times over the summer. Dealers, tuners and vehicle owners have to be prepared for waiting times of up to 16 weeks.
The sales department cites two reasons for this: On the one hand, steel has become scarce in Europe. During the previous corona crisis, raw materials were not always available, and affected companies had to fall back on their stocks. These are now exhausted, which is why the demand for steel and stainless steel has increased rapidly. The suppliers cannot meet the demand. Strong demand is also driving up raw material prices, which is why Eisenmann exhaust systems will also increase in price from July 2021.
The other reason for longer delivery times is the state-prescribed working and hygiene conditions have been tightened since the corona pandemic. Despite partitions, every second workplace at Eisenmann currently has to remain empty. This is the only way to maintain the required safety distance between employees who do not work in the home office. In order to process all orders, Eisenmann Exhaust Systems has already switched to the six-day week and introduced what is known as half-shift work: both plants at the Hemmingen site produce ten hours a day under high pressure.
"We hope that the situation will soon ease and that we will be able to deliver our sonorous sound made in Germany again at previous prices and in the normal time of three to five weeks - as before the corona crisis", says Sarah Eisenmann and adds: "We We would like to thank our customers for their patience and for their loyalty - if we didn't also have the best order book ever, it would of course also go faster with the construction of the exhaust systems. "
