Eisenmann Exhaust Systems and IND-Distribution celebrate 15 years of German-American friendship with a limited BMW E92 / E93 M3 exhaust system.
Hemmingen, 2. July 2021 - 'Black Edition' is the name of the new sports exhaust system from Eisenmann Exhaust Systems for the BMW M3 Coupe and the BMW M3 Convertible of the E92 and E93 series. The rear mufflers in the so-called “canister design” as well as the connection pipes are painted in matt black and give the exclusive series its name: Exactly 25 pieces are intended exclusively for the US market - each system is adorned with a badge with the inscription “One of 25 ".
The long-term trading partner of Eisenmann Exhaust Systems is idyllically located on Lake Zurich in the north of Chicago. IND-Distribution has been part of the Eisenmann family for 15 years and has made a significant contribution to making the name and quality - Eisenmann made in Germany - known in the United States. “To celebrate this anniversary and our German-American friendship, we decided on the 'Black Edition' as a redesign of a tried and tested system for the BMW M3. It is a purely export product, intended for the racetrack without road approval, ”explains Marketing Manager Sarah Eisenmann.
The BMW M3 of the V8 engine generation were built from 2007 to 2013. In the meantime, in the USA they are regarded as collector's items, some of which have only been driven very little and are now attracting new attention from their owners. "This can be seen in the special paintwork or foiling of the vehicles, but also in the interest in aesthetic and at the same time modern exhaust systems," says Eisenmann and adds: "However, the demands have changed: It can now be really individual, less weight is 'in', welded tips are 'out'. "
For this reason, the 'Black Edition' has the well-known, replaceable Eisenmann tips - available in chrome-carbon or in chrome-aluminum, black anodized to match the system. Optionally with a straight section and signature-e, or as a 'LeMans' version with an angled section.
In order to visually underline the brute sound, the rear mufflers of this special version have tips with a diameter of 90 millimeters - the tip size of the "Eisenmann None Edition versions" is 83 millimeters. For this reason, the rear apron of those vehicles that will receive the special edition must be reworked. But the work is worth it, because the weight saving compared to the racing version at the time is up to 7.3 kilograms, depending on the choice of tips.
For BMW drivers with an affinity for racetracks on this side of the pond, Eisenmann Exhaust Systems has both the established “box design” sports rear muffler and the unlimited redesigned special edition in canister design in stainless steel finish available.
